Marsha and Anastasia DJ beatfantasia. The new up and coming female DJ duo.
Most recent achievements include winning the latest DJ Battle @ BarFly in La Jolla, CA & reaching a top 50 worldwide standing on the Mixcloud EDM charts for their newest podcast/mix.
Brazil met Russia about two years ago and began sharing beats. Musically inspired by legacy Armin van Buuren and the talented Avicci, they are driven to follow these footsteps and to compose such heartfelt sensations that evoke nothing but goosebumps and desire. Together, beatfantasia created Birdie Beats mixes, one per month representing the season. The idea of combining forces sparked from their joint passion for music. Aside from being partners in crime, they are best friends and most importantly, both equally hungry for the rapture that music provides.
They debuted at AC Lounge in North Park, San Diego. From there, beatfantasia took off. Teaming up with Carl Schmits, DJ by the C, they spun some tunes at Effins and Club M in the Grand Del Mar. They later went on to take up a few residencies. Monday nights Overtime with beatfantasia is an ongoing hit at Pacific Beach Alehouse, where they mix in everything from top 40′s to trance/EDM. Beatfantasia also joined Nick Slowhand and Vincent V Tec on the decks at Pacific Beach Bar and Grill for Taco Tuesdays. There, they branched out of their house preference to spin some hip hop as well. That Tuesday night gig got bought out by the Pacific Beach hot spot- Typhoon Saloon, where they are able to play from the heart, hence, reaching the crowd more deeply. Remixing mainstream songs with house music really brings out their passion for DJing, and boy, it spreads fast. “Killing it” might possibly be their middle name. It was in the neighborhood of Pacific Beach, where their nickname – “Techno Twins” – originated. Going off from that experience at Pacific Beach Bar and Grill, they will appear at the Alley in Carlsbad to throw down hardcore hip hop. On some weekends, they can be found throwing it back at Dave and Buster’s. Halloween was spent at Somewhere Loud, where they opened for Arnej. Their next appearance at Somewhere Loud was featured on the Channel 90.3 radio show with Tristan D. Beatfantasia headlined at Taste and Thirst’s (in Downtown San Diego) 5th year anniversary and Toy Drive. They were invited back to spin an all-night set there the following weekend, and are excited to be back soon. Looking to make Hard Rock Hotel on Saturdays a regular occasion. Their last appearance at Float had old and new friends’ boots kicking. Next up is a weekend show at San Diego’s hottest club: Bassmnt and Wednesday night at Henry’s Pub in Downtown. Working with Eventvibe has been a blast! Some of the most fun nights have been hosted by them. Drop by at McFadden on any given Thursday and you will hear them drop the bass. A couple other places where their tables have turned include Bar West, Spin Night Club and Barfly. New Years 2014 was rocked out at a Del Mar cocktail house party.
They have done their share of bringing the moves to the dance floor at multiple other private events too. From Sweet 16’s birthday raves, weddings, yacht parties to kids’ celebrations and adult functions, beatfantasia throws down the beat every time. They have done several fundraisers and happy hours as well at the Bay Club Carmel Valley. Definitely jamming’ times up ahead!
They are currently putting a few sounds together to produce a track. Coming soon! Always keeping their eyes open and looking forward to their next musical endeavor.
